The Hasler family has been representing Ferrari for over 43 years. It started in an official capacity in the 1980s when Niki’s father started a Ferrari dealership in Frick, Switzerland. Both Niki’s father and uncle were real Ferrari enthusiasts and frequently drove Ferraris on the road. Therefore, it is no wonder that Niki contracted “Ferrari Fever” from a very young age.
In fact, Niki spent his childhood working in the family dealership which was also an official Mercedes-Benz dealer and started his formal working career as a mechanic. After an extensive grounding learning how to maintain the cars and to appreciate their quality and complexity of engineering, Niki made a logical progression into management roles within the company.
In 2002, Niki made the decision to take over the Ferrari dealership business from the family and subsequently moved it to its current location in the heart of Basel, Switzerland. Starting off with a team of 7, the company currently employs well over 40 employees.
In 2018, the main building was entirely renovated in a modern architectural style by the renowned Diener & Diener Architects and in early 2021, the adjacent Classiche building including several showrooms, an atrium, and an upper-floor private Ferrari archive were inaugurated.
